If you would like to see your Fico Scores but you do not want a banker or lender to pull them you can go to www.myfico.com. This site will offer you, for a fee, a copy of only 2 of the 3 credit bureaus and the Fico Score that reflects each. About a year ago, February 14, 2009, Experian put the breaks on Fico selling its information to the general public. Fico can no longer provide Fico Scores and credit information to consumers from Experian. Experian did this in response to Fico’s unwillingness to offer a portion of its profits to Experian from the sales of scores to the general public.
This is painful for consumers since lenders take the middle credit score of the three bureaus. If your Trans Union Fico Score is a 750 and your Equifax Fico score is a 780 you have nothing to worry about. Even if your Experian Fico score was a 620 your middle score would still be high at a 750. On the other hand, if your Equifax score is a 750 and your Trans Union score is a 650 then you will need to see your Experian Fico score to really tell if you are going to have a problem.
You can always have a lender, banker, or third party pull the score. You will be able to see all 3 Fico scores. This will cause an inquiry that, in most cases, will reduce your score. Lenders are able to buy all 3 Fico scores from pulling services to evaluate consumers risk levels.
