Foreigners credit and similar names

Another common problem we see is the same or similar names with foreigners.  I can’t tell you how many Mohammed Hossains there are!!  This is a great problem and instigates so much confusion and mix ups with the credit reporting agencies.  We had one poor client that couldn’t get a mortgage for 8 months because of negative credit that was not his appearing and reappearing again and again.  He eventually changed his name and that was a whole other overwhelming process in itself.

Joyce Johnson, John Collins, Jack Smith, Juan Rodriguez, Miguel Diaz, Jane Smith, Mohammed Hossain, Ahmed Singh, and there are many more. These are all common names and cause extreme chaos with the reporting agencies!! If your name is common make sure to always check your credit 6 months prior to going for any financing. This will give you the time to make any corrections well in advance.
