Do Authorized Users Suffer Consequences for Negative Info?

The answer is yes and no:  If you are an authorized user on a credit card (you are not the primary but carry a card issued to you with permission) it can still hurt your scores. When a new late payment occurs on a credit card both the Primary and the Authorized credit card holder will both see a drastic decrease in score.  Just because you are not the primary does not mean you are protected.

The good news is you can be taken off the account and the account can be removed from the credit profile and increase the score if you are in the midst of applying for a mortgage.  The banker can  have these accounts removed and have your reports re scored.  This can potentially increase your scores 100′s of points.
