Did you know there is a credit bureau for Gamblers?
Central Credit LLC is a Los Vegas based credit bureau that compiles information on Gamblers to Creditor’s making decisions about approving credit extensions. This bureau recently came under scrutiny and is now being sued for practices against the Federal Trade Commission Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The CC LLC “allegedly” failed to provide to users of its data a required “Notice to Users of Consumer Reports.” Plus they did not provide Furnishers’ with information as well.
“The Furnisher Notices and the User Notices inform furnishers’ and users, respectively, of their responsibilities under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, such as a furnishers’ responsibility to provide accurate information or a user’s responsibility to provide ‘adverse action’ notices,” this was stated by the government in its complaint.
CC LLC is settling even though they did not admit to any of these accusations.
